If you feel like exploring a little bit further you can visit numerous cultural sights and natural attractions nearby – try cycling on the Parenzana, a former narrow-gauge railway line which used to connect Trieste and Poreč; walk through the Strunjan Landscape park with its Sečovlje salt-pans and Strunjan cliff; wander around Forma Viva, a unique open-sky collection of stone sculptures located in a park on the Seča Peninsula, or a trip to neighbouring Piran might just be the right choice.
